Leap Year Blog Hop!

Leap Day happens only once every four years,
so we wanted to make it even more special with
a BLOG HOP here at Your Scrapbook Place.
The theme is chocolate,
and we have plenty of sweet offerings.
And what's a Blog Hop without some Blog Candy!!

Everyone who becomes a Follower of your Scrapbook Place Blog, and leaves a comment at every stop on the hop, gets their name in a random drawing for a sweet prize. If you've come from Linda's Blog, you're on the right track. If not, you might want to start at your Scrapbook Place blog so you don't miss out on any fun. Next on the hop is Carolyn.

Here is a fun hershey kiss card. I used silver shiny paper and cut out the Hershey Kiss using a template I made.  I then soaked it in water and crumpled it and then let it dry.  I used black cardstock and red embossed little dots cardstock for the the inner background.  I added black ribbon with red and black polka dot ribbon on top, placed the Hershey kiss and added its white paper with white ribbon.  I then printed out the words "kiss me" on my computer, cut them out and backed them on black cardstock and then glued them on the card.  Wallah
This is an added extra card.  I used ivory cardstock for a background and then used chocolate cardstock and embossed it as a second layer.  I then added a strip of kraft cardstock that I crimped and put burgandy ribbon over the top of that.  I stamped my chocolate saying and colored in the images and then punched it out using a SU tag punch.  I then punched a burgandy tag and cut it in half and then placed it on either side of the chocolate saying.  I attached that with some twine.  Enjoy!

Squigglefly Entry #8

This challenge was a "'Spring Is In The Air".
When I think Spring I think flowers, nice weather and spring cleaning, which I hate!
So I thought I would make a "blond moment' card.

I used the French Maid Service Digi Stamp from Squigglefly,.
I added a little bit of sparkle to her for some fun.
Enjoy!

Squigglefly Entry #7

This challenge was called
"Bright and Sunny Yellow"

I used the digital image
"almost a prince"
I added fun purple rhinestones all around for the background and used the reverse cut of a die for the frame. I then printed out the saying and made it look like a banner.
Not one of my favorites, but it is ok.

Scrapbook Place ATC Challenge

This is for the http://yourscrapbookplace.blogspot.com/ challenge.
The challenge was to do an ATC of our choice.
This is only the second one I have ever made.

I started off by cutting some SU patterned paper to fit the size and distressing the edges with Tim Holtz distressed ink pad in black. I added some black ribbon around the two sides and topped it off with a deep red rose. I printed out a picture on white cardstock and rounded the edges. I place black magic mesh behind that. I cut out the words on some ribbon I had that said magical memories and backed it on black cardstock. I then added some black rhinestones. I like how it turned out.

squiggle fly entry #6

Here we go again! This theme is ~ HEARTS ~

I used the "Come Hither" digi stamp.
What looks like lace knit stockings is really the wrapping from around a turkey! lol.
I saved it knowing it would come in handy for something and it was perfect for this!

Squiggle Fly Entry #3

So, this is my third entry for Squigglefly.

I used this "freebie" turtle digi stamp, colored it and cut it out. I then laid it on embossed some cardstock using the distressed wood folder. I punched the border for grass, printed out the sign and wrote on it and then added the balloons and ribbon. Enjoy!

Chocolate Challenge * Yummy!*

I had fun with this challenge. When you think of chocolate, you usually think browns and pinks (at least I do, lol). So I decided to go outside the box and do an elegant chocolate card.

This is the front.

It opens up to this.

and then to this.

When it is complete, it looks like this!

It is made with bazzil gold metallic cardstock, and bazzil black cardstock. I used red and black bling on the flowers. I embossed the gold cardstock too.

Enjoy!
